Ship Faster! with Agile Business Intelligence
The proliferation of digital data is undeniable. With every passing year the sheer amount of data generated by the enterprise world is on the rise at a rate we cannot truely fathom.
The discussion has pivoted from how much data should we collect to how quickly can we transform this data into actionable insights that drive our business to making stronger and more informed decisions. That bring value to our organisation and our customers.
In May 2019 I was given the fantastic opportunity to speak at the Danish Data Architects and Modelers Meetup Group in Copenhagen. Sharing the stage and presenting alongside the head of Maersk’s Business Intelligence transformation office Jakob Bentsen.
Together we shared our experiences and beliefs about how accessing your data is more than just having a series of great developers and the right tools. But rather how it requires an organisational change or a shift in the way we think about business and IT projects.
How do you take a historically slow to change enterprise organisation like Maersk and transform it from the top down into a lean Agile Machine that is moving from reactive data discover and delivery to a proactive data organisation.
How to do you change the structure of your development teams. Implement Agile development methodologies and rebuild business processes and governance to move faster. Know deeper and discover more.
Thanks again to VPT and Maersk for the chance to share what we have learnt while working with Maersk for the last two years on this transformation and to the Danish Data Architects and Modelers group for inviting us to present.
